What remote patient monitoring actually is

Care has traditionally been a series of snapshots: a reading taken in a clinic every few months, with months of silence in between. Remote patient monitoring closes that gap. A connected device records signals where the person actually lives, and those readings flow to a platform that watches them over time. The value is not any single reading — it is the trend, and the ability to notice when that trend moves away from a person's own normal.

How Rasd works, step by step

A patient connects a device they already own. Readings flow into Rasd continuously and securely. An analysis layer learns what is typical for that individual and watches for meaningful movement away from it. When a pattern appears that deserves attention, the patient receives a calm, plain-language notice — never a diagnosis — and chooses who to share it with: a hospital, a clinic, their own doctor, or their insurer. Nothing is shared until they consent.

Which devices connect

Rasd is deliberately neutral toward hardware. Smartwatches and rings, continuous glucose monitors, connected blood-pressure monitors, pulse oximeters and smart scales can all feed the same record. That neutrality matters: most people already own something that measures part of their health, and those readings are scattered across separate apps that never talk to each other. Unifying them in one place is the point.

Why it matters most in chronic conditions

Chronic conditions are managed over years, and they change slowly enough that a shift is easy to miss between appointments. Diabetes, hypertension, heart and respiratory conditions all produce signals that drift before they become urgent. Continuous monitoring gives the care team a chance to look at that drift while it is still routine to address, rather than after it has become an emergency.

Consent, privacy and data residency

The patient owns the data and decides who sees it, one provider at a time, and can withdraw access at any moment.
